Black Hill Regional Park has more than 2,000 acres of land for outdoor recreation and family gatherings. Come enjoy spectacular views of Little Seneca Lake from the many picnic shelters, volleyball courts, playgrounds, and trails. Or, rent a canoe, kayak, or rowboat from Black Hill Boats and explore the natural beauty of the lake by following the Black Hill Water Trail.

Enjoy Nature
Want to learn about the area’s diverse ecosystems? Be sure to discover the variety of nature programs and interpretive tours through Black Hill Nature Programs (at the Visitors Center) that highlight the natural and historical resources of this beautiful park and surrounding Montgomery County. You can also take a naturalist-led tour on the pontoon boat Kingfisher, or spend an afternoon fishing for largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie off of the fishing pier.

Picnic Shelters
Pack a picnic and bring your family, friends, co-workers or group to Black Hill Regional Park! You’ll be surrounded by nature and close to park features like playgrounds, Little Seneca Lake, boating, trails, a nature center and more!

Facilities available include our Large Picnic Shelters (Shelters A, B, C, I and J) and Small Picnic Shelters (Shelters D, E, F, G and H).

The five large picnic shelters can accommodate up to 100 people. Each shelter includes 10 picnic tables and two grills. Catering is permitted at large picnic shelters. Shelter C has electricity available for an additional $30 fee. The five small picnic shelters can accommodate up to 40 people. Each shelter includes six picnic tables and one grill.

Trails
There are over 20 miles of hard and natural surface trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. This trail includes a fitness station.
