Boating
Non-motorized boating is allowed at Milavec Lake when water conditions are clear of ice. No permit is required.

Fishing
A Colorado fishing license is required for anyone over the age of 16 years. No ice-fishing allowed. All Division of Wildlife Fishing Rules and Regulations apply, as the area is patrolled by the Division of Wildlife and Frederick police officers.

Trails
Fun Fact: The distance of the walking path around Milavec Reservoir is approximately 1.26 miles. Mile markers were installed every 0.25 mile as part of an Eagle Scout project. Now you can track how far you're walking, biking, or jogging.

Artwork
'Hooked on Frederick' is a new work of art installed on the wall of the old pumphouse. The tile mural depicts a lake scene reminiscent of a typical day of fishing at the lake. The artist is Mario Miguel Echevarria.

Wildlife
Milavec Reservoir also attracts an interesting collection of wildlife. At any given visit, you might get the opportunity to enjoy deer, coyotes, bald eagles, American pelicans, and snapping turtles.
