Verdon State Recreation Area offers a 45-acre lake and 30 acres of land. The area offers primitive camping and picnicking, though the highlight is angling opportunities in the spring-fed lake.

Verdon’s lake is filled with chunky, hard-fighting largemouth bass, as well as bluegills, white crappie and channel catfish.
Boating
Only electric-motor and non-powered boating is permitted at Verdon. No docks or ramps are available.
Picnicking
Verdon is a beautiful day-use spot with 13 picnic tables and 18 grills available for picnickers.

Verdon offers 20 non-pad sites without electricity in its shady campground. Water and primitive restrooms are available.
